Mental Health

Mental health affects us all. In any given year, approximately 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental health condition, and yet many people don't seek help. At our Coogee general practice, we provide compassionate, confidential mental health care — and can connect you with the right support when you need it most.

Common Mental Health Conditions

If you are experiencing a mental health condition, your GP can prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan, which gives you access to Medicare-subsidised sessions with a psychologist or other mental health professional. Under the Better Access initiative, eligible patients can access up to 10 individual therapy sessions per calendar year with a Medicare rebate.
