Pregnancy Care

Pregnancy Care in Coogee — Shared Care with Sydney’s Leading Maternity Hospitals

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Receiving the right antenatal care from the very beginning gives you and your baby the best possible start. Our Coogee GP clinic is proud to be accredited for GP Shared Care with two of Sydney’s leading maternity hospitals — the Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick and Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital —bringing specialist-backed pregnancy care to your local community.

What Is GP Shared Care?

GP Shared Care is a model of antenatal care in which your pregnancy appointments are shared between your local GP and your chosen hospital’s midwives and obstetricians. Most of your regular check-ups take place conveniently at our Coogee clinic, while key milestone appointments occur at the hospital. This model is ideal for women with low to moderate risk pregnancies and ensures you receive both the personalised, continuity of care that comes with a trusted GP relationship, and the safety net of a major maternity hospital when it matters most.
